What if you could turn your dreams of becoming a Pilot into a Reality?
The path to becoming a pilot can seem complicated and obscure. There are many steps you have to take to get your Private Pilot's License and it's hard to find a comprehensive source that will lay out all of them clearly. That's why I created this guide that will walk you through from your first flight all the way to your checkride.

Resources
Here is are a few useful tools that will help you on your way to becoming a pilot. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn from qualifying purchases made through our website. If you make a purchase through links from this website, I may get a small share of the sale from Amazon and other similar affiliate programs but it will not affect the price you pay.
Private Pilot Test Prep

I used this book to practice for my Private Pilot Written test. While it's not going to be comprehensive enough to help you prepare for your checkride, it's fantastic for the written test. It has the exact questions and answers found in the FAA written test question bank. Getting to see the actual questions and answer choices is invaluable so you don't get caught off-guard by how tricky they can be.
Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge

This is the book that most of this website pulls its information from so you don't have to buy it, but sometimes it's nice to have a paper copy that you can write notes in. If you are going to buy a copy, check the FAA's identification code. The current issue is FAA-H-8083-25B. With each revision, they'll change the letter at the end of the code. There are copies on Amazon that say they're this year's version, but I think that's just a scam so they can mark up the price. As long as the code matches the latest version of the FAA's website, it's fine.
FAR/AIM

Half of this book is the regulations regarding aviation. The other half is the FAA's official guide to basic flight information and Air traffic control (ATC) procedures. The regulations are available for free here and the guide is available here so you don't have to buy it but it's nice to have a physical copy to study.
Still Growing
This website is in the very early stages of development at the moment. While I'm currently working on pulling information from the Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge my next goal will be to process information from all the documents referenced in the private pilot’s Airman Certification Standards. So, please come back as I'll regularly be providing you with more and more information.
